Hi all! Sorry I haven't posted much lately. Truth be told, I've been focusing my energy on my other new blog. A new blog? Yes.
I decided to write a more serious blog, something I'm calling a "blogournal" which will be a, uh, blog-journal of my 29th year on this planet. It is sort of introspective and kinda gooey at times, but I don't care. I'm trying to get to the computer every day and trying (FINALLY) in my 29th year to let go and write out and deal with some of my neurotic issues.
If you want to check it out, please do. I've been at it for almost a month now.
It's called Saturn Again, because in astrology the 29th year is the return of Saturn into one's cycle and it is supposed to be a BITCH of a planet in terms of change, rebirth, chaos. Sounds like fun, right?
I can feel a lot of cynical heads shaking right now...
Either way, I will continue with Piece and try to post more frequently about the observational and funny things in the world. It's sort of the YIN to the YANG of my other blog in that way.
(There go those cynical head shakes again).
But don't worry, I'm still here to entertain you. With things like THIS, and this:
These posters are all over the city right now. Everywhere. And they're all plastered around really skinny poles. So Joe Rogan (Rogan? Rogen? Ahh fuck it, the-host-of-fear-factor), he looks super creepy. I thought I'd share this with you as I saw it waiting for the bus.
Here is a photo of the parking ticket I just received. I debated telling Ciaran about it and then I thought, to prove that he does not read my blog, that I will leave it up to him whether or not he finds out about it.
I was working with my student Shanley today on her keyboarding. We were looking up videos on basic computer typing on YouTube and we found the video below.
The music kinda reminds me of the Body Break music, remember Body Break? Do they still have that on TV? Anyway, this woman's name is Joanne (like Joanne McLeod! From Body Break). Here is a video of her and Hal Johnson demanding that we eat meat.
Did you know that Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod are married but that they kept their relationship a secret for years? Well now you do. So keep fit, and have fun!
Ciaran does this really infuriating thing when we start arguing. All of the sudden he'll just say something completely ridiculous and out of the blue. Today it was "well, they're justified and they're ancient." Which made me crack up laughing because I haven't thought about that song in a loooooong time.
Here's the video, just in case you have no idea what I am talking about.
