An Avocado Among Batteries

Thursday, January 21, 2010

I took this while waiting in line at the grocery store. I automatically said in my head, "an avocado among batteries" which is a strange contrast. It almost sounds like the title of a poem. Anyway, people like to do this at the grocery store-- leave random items that they change their minds about buying and put the products where they don't belong. Quite often I find a bag of carrots among cream cheese or a box of Kleenex among the bread. Again, poetic. Anyone?

Haiku for Avocado Among Batteries

An avocado
among batteries is lost,
no one wants it here.
