Anyway, the light opens up in this real robotic kind of way which my friend Devin said reminded him of Johnny 5 from the movie Short Circuit. And I said I was always creeped out watching that movie during the part where Johnny 5 is like, really into Stephanie (Ally Sheedy) and then I remembered that scene with Johnny 5 and her dancing ala John Travolta Saturday Night Fever-styles and it resulted in my doing a weird robotic dance and singing in a robotic voice "...more than a wo-man..." If you don't know what I'm talking about, the clip is below.
And that was yet another movie that Steve Guttenberg was in and then we started asking the question that I'm SURE has been asked a million times in a millions livingrooms all over the world: What the HELL happened to Steve Guttenberg? He was everywhere at one point! Even on Dancing With the Stars.
In other news...we went down to basic cable on the TV to try and save some money. We now only get 28 channels, HOWEVER I can still see all of the other channels on the Rogers TV menu. This means that I can see all the programs out there that I could be watching if I wasn't so broke/cheap. Thanks Rogers!
In other news...last night I mentioned to Ciaran how it was funny how people will say, "I rock climb" or "I swim" or "I lift weights" but when it comes to yoga, it can't be used as a verb. So one must say "I practice yoga", which makes it sound really pretentious. Ciaran also noted that the word practice makes it sound like it's a musical instrument or something. Like, "I play the yoga."
In other news...is it me, or are snack cakes getting smaller? I know I've discussed the shrinking of sweet treats before on this blog, but this weekend I had a Passion Flakie and it just seemed so...tiny. Perhaps it's because my hands are larger than when I was a child? Or perhaps it's the damn capitalist snack food companies that are shrinking their snack cakes and half filling their bags of chips with air and hoping we won't notice. Hum.
I'll leave that up for you to decide.
